Mother’s Day 2020

img_0333Happy Mother’s Day, friends! This is definitely one to remember, that’s for sure. We had a quiet day, kicked off with a Zoom call to sing Happy Birthday to my father-in-law and wish my mother-in-law a Happy Mother’s Day. Then we had a yummy brunch and just relaxed for a bit. Later, we picked up some takeout for dinner from a local spot — I had a stuffed haddock that has me combing the web for recipes because it was just THAT good. I don’t usually go for rice but with newburg sauce, it was magical.

The girls presented me with the sweetest handmade cards and Brian made a NY-style crumb cake, by request. I was especially touched that Emilia made a point to make sure Brian picked up the insulated tumbler I mentioned weeks ago and had already forgotten about since we aren’t hitting Target regularly. I was so touched that she insisted on getting me that. Now I can bring some wine with me when we take our evening walk!

Although the following isn’t from today, I wanted to share because looking back on these  makes me laugh so much. They’re not little for long, so while they are, I want to capture allll the cuteness. Here we go…
