Who doesn’t love a good party playlist? Back in college, I remember carefully constructing the night’s iTunes playlist as thoughtfully as I’d plan my outfit and do my hair and makeup. There were even a few mix CDs early-on in my and Brian’s relationship. Crafting the playlist is one of our favorite party planning tasks.
But I’ve always struggled with what to put on my Halloween mixes. “Thriller” is an obvious classic and then there are the old favorites from movies like Hocus Pocus and Ghost Busters, and I think the John William’s scores for the Harry Potter films make for great listening. But for something a little different but equally sophisticated, I turned to jazz. Three days into October and it’s already my go-to. I can’t wait to play it the next time we have friends over.
