Tell me you’re at the @museumofscience without TELLING me you’re at the Museum of Science Boston. 🦕🦖

Caroline working the lighting in the @pixar exhibit at the Museum of Science earlier today. // As of today, Brian and I are both fully vaccinated!! Not sure what that even means for me since I already have Covid antibodies — and the boys too, but anyways; took the day to explore the Museum of Science with the whole family. It was so fun and couldn’t have gone better. Yes, I did nurse all over the museum. No, We didn’t get to it all. But the girls’ exclamations were worth absolutely everything. Also, we had the place to ourselves. I know it will be packed soon for summer vacation so I’m glad we snuck it in when we did. The @pixar exhibit was incredible. I would go back alone just for that!

There are so many things I love about Caroline at this age; her imagination, her tall tales, her competitive streak... more than anything though, I adore her sense of humor and kindness, both here in equal measure. She is so sweet and lovely but in this same earnest moment, I can see she’s bursting to break out in her signature grin, her cheese-face. My little goofball. I don’t ever want to forget how deeply connecting it feels to look into her eyes.

Every time I pass this little bit of garden as I’m walking with the boys, I get this urge to pick all the ivy off the statue’s face — as if it must be bothering him. Is reminds me so much of the scene in Eat Pray Love when Julia Roberts is meditating and allowing herself to be eaten alive by mosquitos. I love a good shivasana as much as the next person, but no thank you, I will swat at a mosquito.
