Our Christmas Card

2012 Christmas card
To say we sweated over our Christmas card would be the understatement of 2012. This was our debut Christmas card as Mr. and Mrs! And we don’t mess around when it comes to Christmas. First, we’d have to decide whether to use a wedding or honeymoon picture—or something entirely different. Did we even want to do another photo card? So many questions. Next, we’d have to narrow down the picture choices. Finally, we’d need to choose a design.

I decided to start backwards since browsing pretty stationary is always preferable to making any sort of hard and fast decisions.  I scoured my favorite online stationary resources—wedding paper divas, tiny prints, and minted and found so many gorgeous options. Obviously I was OB-sessed with the “Joyeux Noel” one because I love anything francophile  and can’t pass up a black and white stripe to save my life, but Brian wasn’t a fan. So the search continued.

In the end, this design from TinyPrints captured our hearts. The messaging, the fonts, the rounded edges, the snow flakes… it was love. I especially adored that it said Cherish the Season because it reminded me of “love, honor, and cherish,” from our wedding vows. And without getting all A Christmas Carol on you, celebrating the Christmas spirit really is what it’s all about so we loved the idea of spreading that Christmas cheer to all our loved ones.

From there, it was a breeze to choose a photo. WE GOT MARRIED this year! Those moments as we walked down the aisle are some of the happiest, most indescribably joyful moments and made for our perfect 1st Christmas card photo as husband and wife. We love how it turned out. Merry Christmas everyone!
